Chargeback Restrictions

2 min. readlast update: 06.06.2024

Restrictions may be placed on a recipient for various reasons.

If a transaction is reported as "disputed" this may result in a Chargeback.  This means a resident may be "restricted" and is unable to receive funds until the full amount of the chagreback fee is received.

Note: Not all restrictions have chargeback fees.

Resolving a Restriction Due to a Chargeback:

  • Until chageback fees are paid, the resident who received the unauthorized funds will be restricted from receiving funds from future tansactions until Access Corrections has recovered associated funds.
  • By paying the chargeback fees, you agree to reimburse Access Corrections the amount for the unauthorized funds received by the inmate along with a $25 reactivation fee.

Restrictions vary based on the chargeback applied:

  • Partial Restriction (With Chargeback)
  • Full Restriction (With Chargeback)
  • Partial Restriction without a Chargeback Amount
  • Full Restriction without a Charegback Amount
  • No Restriction with a Chargeback
